Country Manager, Grupo Elisa Interactive
Pere Rovira has been often referred to as the "Spanish Avinash Kaushik" because of his insightful, easy-going and fun approach to online marketing, with a focus on web analytics. Originally a physicist, he fell in love with the internet after studying literature, politics, cinema and information systems in the University of California at Berkeley and at the London School of Economics.
Pere is one of the founders and Managing Director of Elisa Interactive, one of the leading web analytics & search agencies in Spain, and who count brands such as Peugeot, Carrefour, IESE, Softonic, Infojobs, and 4 of the top 5 spanish digital media companies as clients.
Pere is also the founder of the networking and educational event Conversion Thursday, currently held every month in Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, San Sebastián and Igualada, and about to be launched in London and Berlin. His contribution to educate the market and knowledge sharing continues with his blog webanalytics.es/blog
Pere loves public speaking and teaching. He lectures to MBA and Marketing students at ESADE (best european marketing school according to Financial Times 2010), and he has spoken at international events such as SMX, Practitioner Web Analytics and eMetrics. His lectures are usually described as "fun" and "inspirational".
Other than surfing the net and thinking about digital communication, Pere loves writing his literary blog, playing the guitar with his jazz group, eating the freshest sushi and travelling as often as possible. He is also proud of living without a TV since 2005.
