At this time, we are planning to host SMX Advanced June 8-10 in Seattle as scheduled.
The health and safety of our attendees is our top priority. We are following the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation closely and we appreciate that you may have questions in relation to SMX Advanced.
Here’s what you need to know:
We are working with our partners at the Bell Harbor Conference Center to ensure as safe an environment as possible. Please review the official statement from the Bell Harbor regarding their currently implemented safety measures here.
At the conference, we will be implementing a strict no handshake policy to help minimize the risk of germ transfer. Stick with friendly smiles and head nods, instead.
Please use your best judgment in deciding whether or not to attend SMX Advanced; if you have shown any signs of illness, including but not limited to coughing, sneezing, sore throat, fever, chills, etc. within the two weeks prior to the event, we ask that you not attend for your safety and the safety of others.
In keeping with the CDC’s guidelines, at this time, we will not be permitting anyone from Level 3 Nations to register for or attend SMX Advanced. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you book a ticket for SMX Advanced now and decide not to attend or become unable to attend, you may cancel your registration up until May 8 and receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. After May 8, tickets are nonrefundable.
One of the most important things to do during this unprecedented time (besides thoroughly wash your hands!) is trust in the advice and guidelines set forth by certified public health officials. That is how we are making our decisions about SMX, and we encourage you to do the same. To that end, here are some resources you may find helpful:

In general, during this time we recommend you follow common best practices for preventing the spread of any cold or flu virus, namely:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
- Avoid close contact with anyone who has a fever and/or cough
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing
- Seek medical care if you are feeling sick

SMX Advanced is for experienced search marketers. Sessions are fast-paced, interactive and don’t attempt to explain basic concepts. At SMX Advanced 2020, there will be tracks dedicated to advanced search engine optimization (SEO) and paid search advertising (PPC), plus a brand-new track devoted to SEO for Developers.
Advanced is conducted in an intimate setting that promotes delegate interaction. Networking is a principal benefit of attending SMX Advanced.
Workshops are in-depth sessions facilitated by industry experts. All workshops will be conducted on Monday, June 8 at the Bell Harbor. See descriptions of the workshops here.

Space is limited – so the last day for registration will be when we meet the limit. SMX Advanced has sold out in each and every year it’s been held. We recommend you register early to secure your pass and hotel accommodations. Hotels fill up quickly as well.
Absolutely! Bring as many colleagues as you’d like! In fact, we’ve implemented three group ticketing packages at substantial discounts to help you.
Payment is required to complete your registration.
The following forms of payment are accepted: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club, and PayPal.

You may cancel your attendance by notifying our registration department by fax at (203) 702-5389 or email registration[at]searchmarketingexpo.com up until May 8, 2020. Your registration will be refunded less a $100 processing fee. Cancellations made after May 8, 2020 are non-refundable.
You may transfer your registration to another person in your company at any time by notifying email@example.com. Reselling SMX registrations is not permitted.
During the registration process, you will have the opportunity to secure your accommodations at a special negotiated rate at specific Seattle hotels. You may also book your room by calling (877) 242-5242. View official SMX hotels and special rates here. You must book your lodging through SMX in order to secure these rates.
Business casual is recommended.
On average, it rains only 1 of 3 days in June, which is very good for Seattle! But it can still be rainy and damp. The average high is 70 and low is in the 50s.

Metro transit offers many bus routes to take you within walking distance of Bell Harbor. The Waterfront Streetcar Line Bus MT 99 stops at Alaskan Way & Clay, two blocks north of Bell Harbor International Conference Center. Additionally, six buses service the 1st Avenue & Lenora Street stop, where there is a simple walk down the stairs or elevator ride to Alaskan Way, one block away from where Lenora dead-ends at the bottom of the hill. Once down the stairs or elevator, walk two blocks to the right to Bell Harbor.
