When do the SMX Master Classes take place?

SMX Master Classes are two-part programs that will air live on Tuesday, August 16, and Wednesday, August 17, 2022. All Master Classes begin each day at 12:00pm ET and run until 3:00pm ET, with the exception of Bruce Clay’s Advanced SEO training, which ends at 4:00pm ET.

Those dates don’t work for me! Can I watch them on-demand?

Yes! All Master Classes will be recorded in their entirety and available for on-demand replay after the live broadcast.

How long will I be able to watch on-demand recordings?

Master Class recordings will be available for replay until October 17, 2022 (60 days after the event). Recordings will NOT be available for replay after this date.

Does $249 get me access to ALL of the Master Classes?

No — the $249 Master Class pass gets you access to ONE Master Class. However, you are able to purchase multiple Master Classes and we encourage you to do so! You’ll unlock 15% off total registration when you buy more than one, and enjoy a comprehensive cross-training experience to boot! (Details available during registration.)

How do I log into my Master Class?

Click here to log into your Master Class account. Logging in will bring you to your My Master Classes page, where you’ll find your purchased Master Classes, viewing tips, and additional information.

How do I watch my Master Class?

On August 16, a green “View Session” button will appear next to your Master Class (on your My Master Classes page). Click this button to begin your training experience.

If you click this button before the designated start time each day, you will be taken to a virtual lobby. When the countdown on the lobby hits zero, you will be automatically redirected into the session soon. If you aren’t redirected, simply refresh the page.

Can I ask the instructor questions during the Master Class?

Yes! Live interaction is a tremendous part of the value of these Master Classes. Use the Chat tab to the right of the video window to ask your instructor questions. They may answer them in real-time or during designated Q&A portions of their curriculum.

Can I get a copy of my Master Class PowerPoint presentation?

In most cases, yes! Be sure to check out the Dig Deeper tab to the right of the video window to download a PDF version of the presentation (if available) and any other valuable training resources your instructor may offer.

I’m trying to watch my Master Class but it’s not playing… what do I do?

In the unlikely event that your live stream isn’t working, try these handy troubleshooting tips:

  • Refresh your page; this is often the simplest solution to jumpstarting a video that’s successfully streaming for everyone else.
  • Some browsers have a feature that prevents videos from autoplaying. Press the play button on the video player to begin the presentation.
  • Ensure that any popup blockers or privacy settings that could prevent a video from playing are disabled.
  • Ensure your browser of choice is up-to-date. If it’s not, install the necessary updates and refresh your page.
  • Ensure that the computer you’re on isn’t behind a company firewall or other technical obstacle that would prevent a video from playing.
  • Keep an eye on the Chat tab… if there is a technical error on our end, a member of the SMX team will let you know ASAP.

Master Classes will stream in all major browsers, but we tend to find that Chrome users have optimal experiences.

I can’t see the chat box… what do I do?

Refreshing your page is often the simplest and most effective way to correct any issues you may be experiencing with the chat. If that doesn’t work, ensure you aren’t behind a firewall or VPN, which may block your ability to use the chat.

The video is playing but I can’t hear anything… what do I do?

This maybe be due to your browsers’ settings (many now have features that prevent audio from auto-playing). Hover over the video window to access and adjust the volume controls. If this does not work, please check the sound preferences on your computer, including the sound output settings.

The video is playing but I’m hearing an echo… what do I do?

You likely have two instances of the Master Class open in your browser. Close one to eliminate the echo.

Are transcripts or captions available for presentations?

While we do not currently offer this feature, if you’re using Chrome, you can enable their caption featureClick here to learn more about setting this up for your browser.

Do you offer any proof of attendance?

Yes! Attending your Master Class unlocks a personalized Certificate of Completion and a nifty digital badge — perfect for sharing on social after the event. Your certificate will be available on your My Master Classes page after the event. Use your certificate to demonstrate your commitment to continued training, validate registration fees, and showcase your involvement with the search marketing community.

Certificates are issued based on live attendance. If you complete your training on-demand, email to request your certificate.

Can more than one person from my company attend a Master Class?
